Hundreds of students descended on the 2009 SOLENT Skills Festival, which was held at ABP’s City Cruise Terminal in Southampton. Teachers and Students from Southampton, New Forest, Eastleigh and Winchester schools attended the Festival, keen to learn about everything from Floristry to Satellites and Space.
The Festival gave young people an opportunity to research and explore many different industries including: Manufacturing; Engineering; Construction; Sport and Active Leisure;
Health; and Marine Engineering. Many of these industries are key to the economic future of the region.
