Jamie Oliver's Company moves to Eastleigh

Jamie Oliver’s new company “Jamie at Home” is moving the warehouse and distribution part of its business to a large warehouse in Eastleigh.  The company was launched in March of this year and runs in a similar way to Tupperware or Body Shop parties.  The company sells kitchen and dining equipment through a network of 1,000 party organisers. The company hopes to have 80 staff employed locally by Christmas.

A spokesman for Jamie at Home said: “Jamie at Home has experienced rapid growth since our nationwide launch in March of this year. Due to the huge increase in stock requirements over the past few months, we needed to find a larger warehouse space to accommodate it. As our product is shipped to Southampton, Eastleigh was a good option as it enables us to minimise transportation between port and warehouse.

“The number of people looking to become a Jamie at Home consultant or wishing to host a party has quadrupled in the last two months. We have been able to reforecast our business plan in response to this increase in demand and, as a result, are exceeding our expectations. We expect this strong growth to continue and hope it will lead to further local job opportunities in Eastleigh in the future.”
